Weekly Pool Cleaning Service Disclosure

Company Overview: Island Leisure, llc., is a local family owned and operated small business. Our closely knit family takes pride in providing high quality services with a customized and robust response to each customers needs. As a member of the Chabad Jewish Community, I personally observe all jewish holidays and close the business. This especially includes every Friday night from sundown until Saturday night at nightfall for shabbos. Otherwise, we are an open book with decades of experience in pool service.

Service Overview: This disclosure outlines the terms, inclusions, pricing strategies, and important information for our weekly pool cleaning service. It is designed to ensure transparency and set clear expectations for our clients. Services are performed weekly by trained professionals with a focus on detail, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Service Provided:

We offer one weekly cleaning package for all concrete in-ground pools and spas,

  1. What’s Included:
  • On The Way” text message notification.
  • Skimming the surface with a net to remove debris.
  • Brushing the tile line, walls, and stairs.
  • Vacuuming the entire pool using a 60-100 micron bag for fine filtration.
  • Comprehensive 7-point liquid reagent based chemistry test, including LSI (Langelier Saturation Index) calculation to assess overall water balance.
  • Addition of chemicals necessary for dosing adjustments to pH, alkalinity, calcium, and cyanuric acid (CYA), as needed.
  • Visual inspection of equipment for leaks.
  • Monitoring of filter pressure.
  • Weekly digest email report with photos of the pool before and after service.
  1. What’s NOT Included:
  • Salt is billed additionally when necessary. We will test your salt level each week and add the necessary salt when required. This will be added to your bill at the going market rate.
  • Specialty chemicals such as, but not limited to, black algae treatments, metal sequestrants and stain treatments, phosphate removers and borates will be recommended as necessary and billed additionally.  
  • Minor Replacement materials less than or equal to $50 will be replaced as necessary and added to your monthly bill. This includes items such as skimmer baskets, o-rings, bleed valves and socks, etc.. 
  • Minor Replacement materials over $50 we will require approval by phone or text.
  • Any repair requiring a tool beyond one’s bare hands will require a separate service call billed as specified below.

Additional Notes on Services:

  1. All chemicals used are industry-standard and applied in accordance with safety guidelines and industry best practices. We prioritize balanced water chemistry to prevent scaling, corrosion and other issues.
  2. Services are scheduled on a consistent weekly basis for the same day each week, but may be adjusted due to weather, holidays, or unforeseen circumstances without prior notice. When unforeseen circumstances arise, we will do our best to notify you as soon as possible. We value our religious and national holidays and therefore we are closed on these days.
  3. Equipment inspections are visual and do not include repairs unless separately approved and billed.

Pricing and Billing

Please note that the monthly bill calculation is based upon 45 services per year. Here is the formula we use for billing ((Rate Per Service*45 services per year)/12), rounded up. So, we only bill you for 45 services per year to account for inclement weather and our vacation weeks.

  1. Pool service is billed in arrears so you receive 30 days of service and all replacement items, if necessary, before you are billed for them. Therefore it is very important to us that the monthly invoices are paid in a timely fashion. We always appreciate your prompt payment!
  2. Payments are due monthly via the Quickbooks Online invoice email sent on or around the 1st of each month. Late payments may incur a fee of 5%.
  3. No refunds for partial months nor any partial monthly billing of any kind; service can be canceled with 30 days’ notice.
  4. Any additional services (repairs, installs, upgrades, etc…) will be billed as a separate service call based on time and materials at the going current rates.

Closed for Jewish Holidays

  1. Please note that jewish holidays are observed based on the jewish calendar, which is a lunar calendar and therefore these do not fall on the same Gregorian calendar day each year.
  • Days 1, 2, 7 + 8 of Passover
  • Days 1 + 2 of Shavuot
  • Days 1 + 2 of Rosh Hashanah
  • Days 1 + 2 of Sukkot
  • Shemini Atzeret and Simchas Torah

Closed for National Holidays:

  • Memorial Day
  • Independence Day
  • Labor Day
  • Thanksgiving Day
  • Christmas Day
  • New Years Day

Closed Annually for Vacation:

  • Somewhere around December 20th until the first full week in January. The exact dates change every year but we shoot for 14 days off.

Terms and Conditions

  1. Client Responsibilities: 
  • Clients must provide safe access to the pool area, ensure pets are friendly, and notify us of any known hazards (e.g., electrical issues, aggressive animals). 
  • We love our furry friends and even bring high quality treats with us each week to bribe them into loving us. So please, let us know if your animal would rather keep their space. 
  • Clients are responsible for maintaining adequate water levels and reporting any equipment malfunctions promptly.
  1. Limitations and Exclusions: This service does not include repairs, equipment installations, major algae treatments, or drain-and-refill procedures. We are not liable for pre-existing damage, natural wear and tear, or issues arising from client negligence. Weather-related delays (e.g., storms) may reschedule services without credit.
  2. Guarantees and Warranties: We guarantee satisfaction with our cleaning and chemistry balancing. If you’re not happy with a service, contact us any time within the 30 days of service rendered and if we cannot remedy the issue, we will happily part ways without billing you at the end of the month.
  3. Liability and Insurance: Our team is fully insured for general liability. However, we are not responsible for personal injuries, property damage, or losses unrelated to our negligence. Clients should maintain their own pool-related insurance.
  4. Chemical and Safety Disclosures: Chemicals used (e.g., chlorine, pH adjusters) may cause skin/eye irritation if not handled properly or swimming occurs immediately following a service. We advise keeping children and pets away during and for at least 2 hours after any service where chemicals were added to the pool.
  5. Privacy and Communication: We collect basic contact information for scheduling and reporting. Weekly emails include photos for transparency. Data is handled in accordance with privacy laws and is not shared with anyone beyond what is required by the service providers for CRM, billing and direct email communication.
  6. Termination: Either party may terminate with 30 days’ written notice. Outstanding balances must be settled upon termination.
  7. Governing Law: This agreement is governed by the laws of Brevard County, Florida.
